Digital Post-Impressionist Landscape

If you've viewed my page a few times, you might've noticed a trend in my color palette. But this is a picture I chose, yes, because it fits my blue-pink-purple aesthetic. It was supposed to portray a post-impressionist vibe, but I don't think that technique is in forte yet. But I used the eyedropper tool to get close to the color, and toned the defined colors down to fit my pastel aesthetic. I then drew little worm little looking things in the sky and water to loosely give off a loose post-impressionism feel to the piece. I duplicated the sky layer to put in the water's reflection, and used a thin smudge tool on 100% to make the water look reflective.

Here's the original picture my piece was based off.

Digital Painting of Choice: Sketchbook Pro

This is my tracing of a picture I took with Carolyn, which I traced in Sketchbook Pro. I played with layers and liked how I had the ability to adjust the opacity of the layers, and that especially helped me when I drew on the hearts above our heads. I was familiar with most of the tools, because they were similar to Photoshop and "Sketchbook X", a program I've used in the past.

ArtRage Stencils: Rhythm/Movement

For this assignment, I started with a soft pastel color, and created an ombre background, then used a stencil that I liked. It was too small for the whole canvas, and I didn't want to enlarge it, so I moved it around to my best ability but you can kind of make up the lines where I had to move the stencil. I erased the paint that was exposed, and the stencil created the pattern.

Street Art Piece in ArtRage

For this street art piece, I used Art Rage to "spray paint" on a quote I've seen before, and I used a bunch of new tools, like the paint knife. After using them after a while, I got a hang of it because it's very similar to Photoshop. It was a good opportunity for me to use a new platform for drawing.

Rothko-esque Painting in ArtRage

This was a relaxing piece to make, and I stuck with more pastel, soft colors. It's sideways for some reason, but usually they are standing hotdog style, and I used Art Rage instead of Photoshop. I blended everything in with a paint knife, and used mostly the spray paint and eyedropper tool. Not a lot of creativity, but it was very calming.

Celebrity with Animal Name

Meet Scarlett Johamster, and I'm sorry if I caused any eye damage or caused a seizure to some people. I blended the two backgrounds, one of a hamster and one of Scarlett Johansson. I erased the hamster with an eraser on low opacity to merge the two images. I then uploaded a transparent frame and added text. It's very festive for the Halloween season.

This is what happens when you're behind a time frame and you stan kings. This was just made with Photoshop, and is obviously inspired by the cringey "PPAP" video, though it's overplayed...IT"S JUST BEEN A LONG WEEK. Just be on the lookout for better quality work later.
